Hi all i have just started a new job and didn't relise auto cad drawings were part of it. I am completly new so how can i learn the basics etc as quick as possible. I need to impress or lose my job HELP

 I understand you very well because I know what does mean to haven't any job.Because and I am unemployer for moment.
I suggest you to buy a book about AutoCAD from David Frey see below.

I would also check out any of the Community Colleges in your area to see if they offer any classes.  Usually you would only have to take a couple of the basic classes to get up and running with ACAD.
