I'm currently using Cad LT 2007 and need to convert some shape (.SHX) files into my LT drawing.  How can I do this?

This is from my AutoCAD 2009help file, you may want to check your AutoCAD 2007 LT help file to verify this information is correct:

Shapes are objects that you use like blocks. First you use
the [CMD]LOAD[/CMD] command to load the compiled shape file containing the shape
definition. Then you use the [CMD]SHAPE[/CMD] command to insert shapes from the file into
your drawing. You can specify the scale and rotation to use for each shape as
you add it.

In your help file, on the Index Tab, type: shape definition files

Does this help?

How doesn't it work-did you get an error message?

Do you know that this is an AutoCAD-compioled .shx file and not an ESRI shapefile? They both have an 'shx' extension. Plain AutoCAD (LT or full)can't read ESRI shx files.
