Hi all. Running AutoCAD 2009.

I am looking for a way to turn off surface edges to make a "3d hidden" appear nicer without effecting how the "Realistic" view appears.

It is an existing file containing thousands of surfaces, so I am hoping there is a fast, possibly group, selection tool for this.

I have been unable to find a solution in the help menu.

Thanks

I'm assuming you're using your Visual Style Manager to make the changes. Have you tried adjusting some of the settings?

I think the Edge Settings may be what you want to adjust. When I set mine, I changed the color from "White" to "by Entity". Just doing this made a world of difference in how the product showed up in print.

You can also change the Edge Mode (turn the Edges OFF) or even adjust the Edge modifiers (such as Overhang and Jitter).

Does this help?

Display of edges may be controlled by the DISPSILH setting.  (may have been covered by HAWSdesigner suggestions...)

Thank you. That was very helpful.
