Properties palette not working

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and I have a big problem that I hope you guys can solve. My properties palette is not working for some reason and I have no idea why. I keep selecting objects, doubleclicking them but nothing happens, the pallette says there is NO selection.. I never had this problem before. Any ideas?  |
