When I press f8 for ortho my osnap turns off, when I press f3 for osnap the ortho turns off. After I execute a command with ortho on it turns off by the time I get to the next command...

Have you made any additions, deletions or tweaks to the CUIx that might be a cause of the problem?
Are you using any custom lisp routines?
When did the problem first occur?
Is it something that affects just one drawing or any drawing you happen to be working on?
What OS are you using and what version of the OS?
What keyboard do you have?
Have you noticed any unusual behavior in any other Windows programs where function keys are used?
