Hi,
 
in AutoCad civil 3D land desktop, i made a cross-section of a river and i need to extract the coordinates XYZ of the cross section to put it in HEC-RAS. Is there a fast and easy way to do this? 
 
Is there a way to extract coordinates XYZ from a polyline?
 
Should I use GIS to do this instead?

You could probably find a lisp program that would do it.  Have you looked at any of the related Cad tips listed below?

you should be able to export the cross sections to hec-ras if you made regular sections and not quick sections. if you used quick sections there is no quick way that I know of
