I  did a drawing using 5 layers   and  I realised that if I transfer some objects of a layer say layer 1 in the drawing into another layer say layer 2 of the same drawing , I lose  those objects from layer 1.  Is there some   way to copy those objects back into layer 1  without losing them in layer 2. ?

Use the Copy objects to new layer command.  Look under Format on your drop-down Menu Bar at the top of your screen.  Then select Layer Tools.  The option will be listed on the fly-out menu.
