Hi! I have a truss assembly that is 56' long. I need to apply a load to the center of the truss.(each end fixed, truss laying horizontal, vertical load applied downward at the center point of 28'). I have tried to use the dynamic simulation but I can not figure out how to do it.

Can someone tell me where I can find a tutorial or show me how I can accomplish this task? I have been through the help menu several times and cannot seem to find what I need.

Thanks for your help!!!

If the truss is an assembly you would need a FEA program to do that.  But, what you might try is to insert your truss assembly as a derived component.

Doing that, from what I was told from the guys @ Avatech (Autodesk Premier Solutions Provider), is Inventor sees it as all one piece and you should be able to put your load where you need to and test it.  It won't be as precise as FEA software but it will be close.
