Hi,

i'm trying to learn how to import a field book file (.fbk)...i keep running into roadblocks. i have the .fbk file saved on my desktop. using the IMPORT SURVEY DATA - SPECIFY DATABASE option, i have no existing database shown and when i try to "create new survey database " and enter a name of a folder i get "the survey database does not exists and could not be created"

can someone explain how to get the .fbk file into autocad?

using civil 3d 2011

thanks

cadman

Why have you double posted?  It just makes following the course of the conversation more difficult.  Did you read my last post to your first thread that you have duplicated here?

Have tried using the Import Survey Data Wizard?

See this link:

Now you see why have two identical threads can become a hassle.  People who want to help don't know which thread to post in or if they should post in both.

Maybe you should consider buying an after-market book such as Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 by James Wedding and Scott McEachron.

Is it possible you have to create a Network Group?
