Hi all,

i have recently taken over a role which involves making schematics for a security company.  i have started to design my own template but i need the pre existing blocks as they are a standard for the company.

The problem that im having is that when i insert my blocks from block editor using either the conventional way or by dragging and dropping from the design centre they get warped.

please could someone tell me how to insert a pre existing block (explaining setting the base point, scale and rotation)?

Is it possible to drag the block over the page and create a box so it fits it perfectly? rather than having to mess around with the scale command.

sorry if this is basic, i have only had a short course and i cant ask anyone in the company.  thanks

sam

You can use the Tool palettes to prepare a set of standard blocks for easy insertion, including their scale, layer and rotation settings.
Another way is to use a macro (Diesel, LISP, VBA) to insert your blocks. For autorotation you can also use the dynamic blocks.
