a specific dwg file of mine takes a very long time to plot to pdf, all of my other dwg files plot to pdf fast, what can I do?

Have you purged the drawing file?

Is there a lot of hatching in this particular drawing?

Are you plotting off of a network or is this being done from a stand alone workstation?
