i am using ACAD2008, the cad was slowly in start-up, since the drawing have xref file(s) (even overlay and attach). in the command line, it show the xref was reslove sometime or "open c://..path//...", the cad still runing but it spend a long time processing or loading the xref-file.

Have your xref size grown?

it seem the xref file size remain the same (not suddently be large).
