I use AutoCAD 2008 and was putting tool bars in my workspace.  When I applied those changes to my workspace, AutoCAD went to something called Express Group which showed no tool bars.
I would appreciate any help on how I can eliminate this Express Group.

Maybe you loaded the wrong CUI.  You could try unloading it and see if that fixes the problem.

Your profile says you are using 2011 but your question states you are using 2008.  Which one is correct?
