I am working with Autocad Mechanical 2008 ( I haven't explored all the possibilities ... ) and there is some kind of an "automatic component list" available that I haven't tried yet.
Try to take a look at the user pdf manual in : program files / Autocad or Autodesk / .... / ....
To be continued...

there is a great feature in autocad 2009 : the automatic text nubering but it does not exist in the 2010 or 2011.

If your tile is comprised of a block that has attributes then the number, the length and the width could probably be extracted from the blocks and presented in a table inside AutoCAD or exported, in some way, to an Excel spreadsheet.
