hey guys ..
I am trying to to export ( layer status ) through layer status manager to a *.las file , so I can use the same layer properties in another CAD file , but it always can't export line types :( is it a fatal mistake in AutoCAD or what ?

You could always export your linetypes to a custom.lin file using a lisp routine called TO-LIN.LSP or LLTYPES.LSP.  A link to the first, and the actual lisp file for the second can be found here...http://forums.cadalyst.com/showthread.php?t=5601.

My idea addresses only the linetype issue.

There is no "transfer".  All the routine does is write a line definition to a new .LIN file which can then be used on another computer.

What i am asking about is ( transferring layers properties ) to a *.lsa file , with that file I can reuse this layer properties on another CAD file
I noticed that AutoCAD always tells me that line type could not be transferred to the new file however the layers (name, color, line wight .. etc ) are always successfully transferred to the new file, ( line type ) failed in this process.. could any one help me please ?

From your AutoCAD Help file:

If the layer state is imported from an LAS file, and it contains linetype or plot style properties that do not exist in the drawing, a message is displayed notifying that the property could not be restored.

That explains the message you are seeing.

Why can't you use the Design Center to drag-and-drop linetypes from one drawing to the other?
