Is there a way to rename all the XREF-BINDED Layers to get rid of the common prefix (everything before the $0$)?

I DID THAT EARLIER AND IT WORKED FINE. AutoCAD ISN'T LIKE RIDING A BIKE, IF YOU DON'T USE IT YOU LOSE IT. THE LAST TIME I HAD TO DO THAT WAS QUITE A FEW YEARS AGO, SO I FORGOT. THANKS FOR THE REPLY!
