I have been using Autocad for 20 years, however, I am new to Civil 3d 2011 and I'm having trouble with the text command.  When I type in text or dtext and after I'm through typing my text, it doesn't matter if I hit enter or escape, or whatever, my text disappears.  What am I doing wrong?

What steps have you taken to determine the cause of the problem?  No sense in giving you suggestions if you've already tried them.

Thanks for checking back with me,  I discovered my problem.  The text was there, it was just very small, so I had to scale it up.  I still haven't figured out why when I had set up the text size it is still coming up so small.  Evidently I'm not setting it up in the correct place.  Any help will be appreciated.

Do you set your text size using the STYLE command?

Are you using annotative scaling?
