When I download an IPT file, it opens in Inventor fine, except that I cannot see the model. The tree is all there, the features will show a silhouette when I hover my mouse over them, but most of the tree is greyed out, as if it is suppressed. The file is drill bit ipt, and I am running Inventor 2010

Hello all,

I got some help from a college professor on this matter today, and the problem was that the "end of part" tab was placed just under the solid bodies tab, rendering the invisibility of the part, yet all the features of the part were still in the browser (albeit greyed out). This is not something that I have commonly encountered, and henceforth it went unnoticed to my quasi-experienced eyes. The professor found it strange that someone would upload a file and leave the end of part tag in this position.
