Hello Guys,
Someone sent me a .dwg files and that must reference to some .shx
(shape file). In another folder I have received the shape files also in
.shx and .shp format.
My question is how to set these external shape file in Autocad
setting (especially for that .dwg). Please explain me the procedure for referencing
these external shape files. Please tell me command to start this process.
I just point the folder path (external shape files) under Options > Support File Search Path. I don't know whether this is right or wrong. Please let me know.

Try the LOAD command to load the shape file.

Thanks for the reply,
If received shape files are the ACAD 2008 version files and I am trying to open/load the same files in ACAD 2011 version. Is that create any problem or not?
