I have created a drawing for our contractors that is made up of many OS tiles and water mains data but because of the amount of tiles included, the file is a massive 35meg!!

Basically, I seem to be able to open and use the file without many problems but our contractor's computers don't seem to be able to handle the data and there machines keep crashing when they try to open the drawing etc

Is there a way I can reduce the size of the file or somehow make it less crashy?

Ideally I'd like to keep all the data in the one file but maybe splitting it across a few separate drawings is the only way.

Any help would be much appreciated

Try to split the drawing into separate files linked as xrefs. Also check the related tip 3649 for typical reasons of bloated DWGs.

Could it be the hardware on the contractor's computers?
How does the specs for your computer compare to the contractor's?
