is there a command that will lock text editing
and don't allow copy capibility from one file to other?

1st problem
i can't edit the text by double clicking on the text.
The only way to edit the text now is by open the properties tab and change it in there. i don't think it is a corrupted
file, as i still can edit the text by double clicking on it
in other desktop.

2 problem
I cannot copy anything from one file to other.

i wanted to know if anyone have this problem when using autocad 2008?

I'm not sure about the copy issue, but your editing issue might be from the PICKFIRST setting.  Type that in (pickfirst) and set it to 1.

You Rock mate, it work,

Now I have all my double click capability back and the copy past capability as well.

So ‘pick first’ can affect both of this capability.

Thank

We get that a lot around here.  We are using AutoCAD 2008 and it seems to crash a lot.  And many times that crash knocks out the pickfirst and the filedia settings.  Very annoying.

I'm glad it fixed it for you.
