Sounds like a system variable has been reset.

Try setting both PICKFIRST and PICKADD to a value of 1 and that should solve all pick-related problems.

What John meant to type was PICKFIRST.  Wink

The best tip I know of with the TRIM command is to just hit the return key at the "Select objects" prompt, and not waste time selecting things... or missing something.  By doing this you select everything and therefore everything in the drawing becomes a potential cutting object.  Saves a lot of time.

Dave: Doesn't that technique require a "double tap" of the ENTER key?

John,

After the initial TRIM command, yes.  But it's not much different than clicking cut objects.

Try it with the attached example.  TRIM at the command line and ENTER to Select all.  Then use a crossing window to trim all the red lines to the whites and all the whites to the reds.

Bob's your uncle.  LOL
