Hi All,

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I am new to the forums and have never used 3ds Max before.

I work for a large Jewellery manufacturers in the UK.  We create our designs using Rhinoceros 4 software.  We are currently looking for some animation software that would be able to produce photo-realistic animations.  We currently use Gemvision Matrix to create still renders but we are now looking for something a lot more in depth. It is very important that the new software allows us to create animations that can then me embedded on a website.  The internet user must also be able to rotate the model themselves.

The exact effect we are after can be seen on this website:

Could any of you advise me in what software I would have to purchase to get this effect, am I right in thinking 3ds max is good for this sort of thing?

Many thanks in advance!

You can do this with 3ds Max panorama files, with 3D PDF, 3D DWF, VRML and many other methods. You will always need some kind of viewer for the browsers (Java, Flash, WebGL...).
