I am using Civil 3D 2012 Windows 7-64 bit and have created profiles that use staggering text to the right in the band data. The band style dragged state is set to 'as composed' with no leader displayed so I can move text within the band on occassions where the text overlaps.

It looks great in the model space. The problem starts when I X-Ref the drawing into the profile/plan(production) drawing. I found that the text that has been dragged reverts back to its original label position. What I also found was that when I remove the staggering option to none and drag the labels, the profile is correct in the viewport showing the dragged labels in the right spot.

Fortunately for me, the road is not too long and I went with the latter option for presentation. Is there anyone that has come across this? I am interested why the dragged state does not work when using stagger option for the band.

I would be interested in anyones views on the topic, and whether or not I am doing something wrong.

We don't field a lot of C3D questions here, so a much better place to post this question would be on the Autodesk Forums.  The Civil 3D forum can be found at:

I'm sure you'll get what you need there.

Dave.
