Hi Folks,
Im a bit of a novice when it comes to AutoCAD,hence the problems I'm having. I'm currently experienceing a bit of trouble completing a task on AutoCAD 2009. Im looking to get the coordinates of multiple points onto a Notepad so I can manipulate and use them in Topcon 3d.
The process ive been carrying out is as follows:
Command bar:
LIST:
Highlighting the point: which states ive selected 499 objects
But once i go to the AutoCAD text window ive to continually press enter to view each coordinates info. Instead of all of them being there at once.

The next issue is when i go to copy the information from the AutoCAD text window it will only take a few coordinates and not the whole 499 points.

Can any one help with this issue?

Your Topcon equipment more than likely came with its own software so you'll probably have better luck looking thru it and finding out how it deals with AutoCAD files.

More than likely you'll be able to import a DXF of your point objects directly to the survey unit.  Trying to figure out how to get a CSV list of Point data from AutoCAD into Notepad and then into the Topcon unit may not only be a long way around, it may be totally unnecessary.

Are these "points" actually blocks by any chance?

There are several ways to do this. See e.g.:
