Hi there, I'm working on this London double decker bus http://www.2shared.com/uploadComplete.jsp?sId=FHXJHqoO0Vbhh6WS

Unfortunately there are much things that I am not able to do, and I've got lots of problem trying to sort everything out. I really need some help and I would be more than grateful if anyone of you can help me because I'm really struggling to finish the bus (which has to be done by Sunday) :S

Cheers from Spain :-)

Can you provide us with a list of the things you have to do and where you need the help?  You have left it kind of opened ended at the moment.  I could think of a dozen things right off the bat without a moments hesitation.

It looks like the bus is 3D.  Did you use surfaces or solids?

Hi John.
The whole bus is a solid done (with extrusion) and we have added materials (such as translucent crystal) with surfaces.
-We are struggling to get all the crystals right.
-We can't copy the headlight on the front side (we have one but we can't copy it onto the other side).
- We are also really having problems trying to "empty" the inside part and putting the "floor".
-We can't also give thickness to the windows.

I think that is pretty much it, we are working really hard on the project, it's our first one with autoCAD but it's becoming so frustrating...
I wonder if I could get a little help, you'd really make my day.

If you reorient/relocate your UCS you can mirror the headlight to the other side of the bus.

You can create a void inside the bus by subtracting another solid.  Then you can create a floor and use the union command to attach it to the rest of the bus.

You can use the extrude command to give thickness to a window.

It sounds like you are applying materials.  Is that right?  Materials can be applied to individual objects or they can be assigned to a layer.
