Hi Everyone... I need some help with the DXF format. (Im using AutoCAD 2002)

What I want to do is draw let's say a square with dimension Length: 16 X Width: 720 X Thickness: 500. So this rectangular prism will be able to be viewed in 3D orbit.

I save this as a DXF and open it in notepad. What i want to do is be able to edit the dimensions manually in notepad. Is this possible? If so where do i find the place to change the lengths. I have managed to find the thickness, but can't find the others.

Eventually I want to draw more prisms in the single drawing and do the same thing with them all at once.

If it is impossible in DXF is there another format that I can use to do this? or even a different program than AutoCAD that I can do this with?

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be easier to set/edit/re-create the sizes directly in AutoCAD?
