hi guys,

just looking for an answer for my problem.
i'm new in using autocad so i just trying with the 30 days version of autocad to do my first steps. it works good but i can't find the option for "animation".
searched already the web and commands like "anipath" or something else, doesn't work.

so my question. is it possible to do a simple camera operation on a curve?
if yes, how i can do this? do i need an plugin or something else?

hope you can help me out!

greetings from germany

You didn't search the AutoCAD Help file quite enough.  Search the Help file further using the word "animate".  It's all there waiting for you.

Animations are set up from the 3D Modelling workspace via the Animations panel.  You'll need to add it, it isn't available by default.

i just found the reason why i can't find this option.
i'm using a mac and this feature is not supported in this version, only windows.
but why?! :(

It would have helped if you had said you were on a Mac to begin with.  Lots of messages make respondents guess at answers to questions like yours.

The simple answer is however that AutoCAD on the Mac platform is still only a couple of years old, where users have been doing professional work with it on MS-DOS and later Windows systems since about 1982.  It's still quite a different program on a Mac, and you should expect it will take the programmers several more versions before they fully port all features over to the Apple system.

If I were to make a guess I'd speculate that the AutoCAD Mac user base will never surpass the numbers of people running it on Windows systems.
