Subject: some objects too dense to print with clear picture

Hi all,

I am using autocad 2008 and am drawing details of say,  Mass Fill Footing, Sectional Steel Beams, Eaves to Pitch Roof, Drain pipes passing under concrete floor. The drawings are all done no bigger than 750 x 1000 mm.  I also do not need to scale these, but when i try to plot them in layout they come out really dense, meaning i am unable to show excactly the full details on them.  Any help woud be greatly appreciated, in the mean while i will try to figure it out. I would like to put the pictures on here to show what i mean but do not know how to do that.

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

One thing to check would be the default line weight you're using.  Go to Options > User Preferences > Lineweight Settings.

If this isn't it then check the Plot Style Table.  Chances are you have a CTB style that is changing the lineweight based on layer color.

Dave.
