I am mechatronics engineering student.I struggle with this figure but I couldn't draw Cry can u help me which I signed in this photo so angular one.

Hello nucl3us, to draw this figure you will have to use 3D.
The first thing is to draw a cylinder of dia. 4 ( inches ? ) height 10.153 with its dia. 4.5 height 0.5 and groove 0.5x0.5.
You do this using the commands REGION and REVOLUTION.
Then you do the material removals in 2 directions with the rest of the dimensions.
I'm afraid that this is really basic 3D drawing and it looks so simple that you will have to learn all and everything about 3D ( + AutoCAD ? ).
AutoCAD 3D is difficult ( but not impossible ) to learn on your own but it will require you to know all about UCS and "viewpoint".
I have done a sketch of the 3 basic phases to do and I will send it if I can scan it.

So you know how to draw everything BUT the portion circled in red is that correct?

Assuming that it is you will have to extrude a circle to create a cylinder.  You will then have to cut away a portion of the circle (four sides) using an extruded line (which results in a surface) via the SLICE command > Surface option.

I could have sworn we could post PNG files but I was unable to do so this morning as I had an image I wanted to share.  This website is so screwed up.

Hello N° 2 nucl3us, I have uploaded an AutoCAD file in the CAD Blocks library with the name : ELEVATOR_GUIDE.dwg.
It's complete with my method in 9 phases.
Hope to read you soon...
I haven't done the dimensioning of the 3D volume.
If you do it, please set to (0) the value of DIMEXO ( offset from origin ) so it will be easy to read the dimensions.

The tutorial is good but the tapered portion looks slightly different than the attached PDF by the OP.

Yes John but I rely on the dimensions and not on the image.
That's why I have 2 remarqs on the DWG file :
LOOKS TO BE = 0 ON FIGURE 5.159
LOOKS TO BE EQUAL ON FIGURE 5.159
 
And John is right again, the angle of 74° is not in the right place on my drawing, it should in phase N° 6 ( it looked not symetrical on phase N° 6 so I did phase N° 3 first ).

Hello N° 4, I have updated my drawing : ELEVATOR_GUIDE.dwg with the right geometry + 1 flatshot + 3D views + 1 proposed amendment of the geometry... and you can find it in the CAD Block library.
 
The 3D object doesn't look like the image Figure 5.159 but it's has been done with the dimensions of the Figure, the hole dia. 1.250 is not centered int the radius R 1.413 but it goes with the dimensions 10.143 ( for the radius ) and 9.000 ( for the hole ).
the 0.5 x 0.5 neck looks strange on the Figure 5.159 etc...
It may be a problem of 3D drawing proposed for the sudents..... or it's a test for them...
