Hi.
I have this huuuge drawing - a city map - and for some unknown reason  half of it  have street names, block names, and all other texts written with upper- and lower case, and the other half of the map is just written in caps. can I somehow change all letters to caps without having to edit each text?

It realy doesn't matter, but it looks ugly...

Try the [CMD]TCASE[/CMD] command. It should do the trick.

TCASE is a good suggestion.  Combine it with QSELECT to grab all the text and mtext in the drawing (separate operations, append the second selection to the first set of results) and convert the text case as you like.

However... TCASE is an Express Tool.  It will not be available in LT versions.  You'll need to have the full version of AutoCAD with the Express Tools installed to use this command.

Dave.

You would have to use a macro.  I'm sure you could easily find one posted either here, at the CADTutor website, The Swamp website, or at the Cadalyst magazine website.  I may have one at work but if I do I won't be able to post it until Monday morning.

Wow.  It looks like the format here changed overnight.  So far so good.

Embarrassed

I could not find the macro, sorry.  It was from a fairly long time ago and I just may have failed to copy it forward as I continued to upgrade to new releases.
