**AUTOCAD 2013**
Trying to drop a "Snapshot" from a PDF (copy/paste) into my site plan. But I think I'm having some funky UCS tricks going on. Yes, my UCS is set at WORLD.
The site plan's UCS is set at true-North, so I clicked the UCS-View icon. It corrects the UCS-- now set at the WORLD (default). Great..easy fix. So I go to my PDF, copy a "snapshot", go back to AutoCad and paste the image. Unforunately, the image appears to be pasted at the same UCS angles as previously corrected (i.e., funky looking). As in, the top of the image is pushed back & to the right. I'm doing 2D, old school drawing, but AutoCad disagrees with me on that. Any ideas?

Hello AmarARCH, do you really know nothing about 3D ?
If no, learn about VIEWPOINT and all about UCS commands and you will succeed in replacing ( by ROTATION 2D or ALIGN 3D ) your snapshot.
Please tell us if and how you have corrected your problem because I also have sometimes problems with "automatic' UCS change ( without my will ) when approaching 3D objects.

Yes, Philippe, I have no experience in 3D design, and I do not wish to perform a 3D design of any kind. I will do some homework on VIEWPOINT. Hopefully, I can resolve this issue. Thank you.

Instead of copy/paste (which will end up as some kind of OLE object) why not attach the PDF as you would any other external reference?  From there you can get your "snapshot" simply by creating a clipping boundary around the area you want to see.  And if you don't like the rotation you can rotate the clip the same as you would rotate any other object in the drawing.

You're making this harder than it really is.
