I am new to this forum, and to AutoCad.  I have played around with it for some time, but I'm, by far, not good at it yet.  I was wondering how do you pick a surface to work on?  Meaning, for example, I have a box and want to put a slot in the top of it 1/4" x 1/4" dp.  Then I want to go to the end (either one) and put a slot in the end of the box with the same dimensions.  After I make the slot in the top, how do I go to the end and pick that surface to put the slot in the end?
Hope I haven't made this too terribly confusing.  I will have other questions I'm sure.  Thanks for anyone's help.

Carl

Can we assume you are working in 3D?  If so, have you looked at using the Dynamic UCS option?  And are you familiar with the PressPull command?
