I really complicated in finding the way to use this software. In fact, I plan to make an animation to show about one city's building, transportation, etc. So I got up with a plan to use autocad map 3d to make a city map. I wonder it is connect to my topic or not. Now i can create a map by using GIS data (SHP files) with elevation data in 3D.
Right now, i don't know what to do more? what to learn....
As my opinion, i think that it is useful to make 3D building samples to put on the created map.
Really appreciate with your helpw with this subject.

Sincerely,

It is a quite complicated task. While it is possible to do this in AutoCAD Map 3D, you may get easier results with Autodesk Infraworks.

From my perspective (as a civil designer using Civil3D, the Map 3D features embedded in Civil 3D and sometimes Map 3D), I would be surprised to learn that Map 3D can generate an animation. Can it really do that? I thought a more likely Autodesk-centric workflow would call for modeling in C3D and/or Map 3D and then importing that content into 3Ds Max Design for animation. You may end up with a good animation that way, but the skills required to do that are varied & hard to learn if you're not experienced. I'm hoping to use 3Ds Max Design in that way soon, but I see it requires an object enabler (not included with a standard installation) to deal with the C3D objects. Haven't done anything with it yet, but I'm hoping to soon.

Any attempt to explain specific tasks & steps for a complicated process like this is not likely to work. I think you must first discuss things like what data you have and what you want to accomplish with your animation...

Thx q for your comment. I thought like this way too, I don't know whether map3D can make animation or not but I thought it couldn't. So that is why I wanna ask that how can I continue from this step( I have greated with a 2D plan by using that city's GIS data) so to make it becomes 3D I use eventary(height) to Make it become 3D. The problem is building? I don know how to input the building to my 2D plan

Autodesk Infraworks really helps engineers to make those building models and 3d illustrations. Not just that you can also use it from your mobile if it supports mobile that supports Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows.
Thanks
