i am working on project of engagement between tool and work-piece in which both are rotating. Because of analysis on the surface of a work-piece, it should be static for the surface visualization. so the relative path of the tool with respect to that static work-piece is epitrochoid, when i am trying to draw that path in inventor it gives error of "self intersecting" Now how can i solve this problem?
I have to implement this curve and sweep the grit around that path after then boolean subtraction have to be performed. Please suggest me which software i have to use.. Thank you.

it maybe the bend radiuses or material size are causing error
