I am working in a friend's computer.  I've removed 67 trojans and hundreds of other maleware.  At this point it is just going to be best to format and reload the O/S.

I know nothing about AutoCAD.  The computer is running XP with AutoCAD 2000.  My friend would like his "CAD files" to be saved, but doesn't know where they are saved.  I have limited access to the HD and have not found anything in "My Documents".

Can any of you tell me where to find the files that AutoCAD saves?  He will be loading AutoCD 2000 after the O/S rebuild.  What must we do to make sure he doesn't lose any work?

Thanks from a "more than noobie" on this topic!

The only other place to look is directly under ACAD in the Programs dir.  If the files are not in either place then they could be just about anywhere on the harddrive.

1. During formatting Windows System there is a option for saving all documents.
2.Try to find any *.dwg on search on Start Menu and check there.
