We are trying to find a program that will do electrical diagrams.  We need the program to draw ladder diagrams and wiring diagrams.  We also need to have different drawings interact together, like how Inventor drawings do.  To if I change a wiring location on the master drawing all related drawings change also.

Right now I use AutoCAD Mechanical and this process is taking forever because we are adding 3 phase to our options.  I am almost sure AutoCAD Electrical will do this but the dealer we are working with us want us to pay $1700 and lose 1 of our Inventor seats.

I want to know if there is a great Add-On or if AutoCAD Electrical is the best choice.

Thanks

There are many "electrical" add-ons for AutoCAD but I would recommend AutoCAD Electrical for this type of job. As an Inventor user you can also benefit from its data communication between Electrical <-> Inventor Professional.
