each time I open the file the dialogue box saying: " update the location of referenced files" pops up, though I have have recovered, auditted and Purged the file and all it's xrefs. each time I redefine the path ( that never changed ) and saves the file and close it , next time I open the file
as if nothing was done last time.the dialogue box pops up again.
I would really appreciate if someone knows how to Solve this problem as I have waisted a ton of time doing this.

Hello Ymatta, what is hapenning if you clic on : always ignore unresolved references and continue ( maybe not a good idea to clic on this and think that it will be without problems ), what can you read if you hit the F2 key at the file openning ?
Have you modified anything in the computer directories, name, place, anything that would have modified the files paths ?
See the tip notified here : tip 9276 : AutoCAD reports some xrefs as "Unresolved".
