You might want to either buy a book or look in AutoCAD Help.

Upload a copy of the drawing to this website or make it available through Dropbox.  Someone will take a look at it and suggest a solution to your problem.

Is the problem that the Restore Ortho setting has been set to "No"?
 
The this Autodesk Screencast - At first, I have the restore Ortho set to "no", Then I re-set it to yes to get the "out of the box" default:

or, more specifically, the UCSORTHO system variable.
