i cant import files from autocad 2008 to 3ds max 8.pls help me..is this a problem of compatibility? should i use a higher version of 3ds max,like version 9? pls someone help me...

I don't think so to upgrade your 3DS MAX.
Save your drawing as old version of your DWG EX: 2004 *.dwg or try to export as dxf.
what about 3dsout command check for more in help.
It is exist and in AutoCAD 2007 but it can't functioning.
