I am trying to render a 3d model that has a material applied to it. The only problem is that I don't want it to have a shadow effect to it. Is there any way to do a photo realistic render without shadows?

Thanks.

Yes, you can disable shadows in the rendering preferences - RPREF, the light bulb in the Shadows panel (AutoCAD 2008).
