I can tell you how it might be done in generic AutoCAD but I don't know what options are available in Revit.

1) Flatshot
2) SectionPlane
3) SolProf
4) SolView/SolDraw
5) ViewBase

Is that enough options for you?

Do you want to use meshes, surfaces or solids?

Converts 3D lines to 2D.  Says nothing about extracting 2D views from 3D objects.

Stells, I can suggest you the path of auto cad 3D drawing to a 2D - Go to File Menu -> Export-> DWF.

A DWF file wouldn't be of that much use other than for viewing would it?
