Hi everyone, new to the forum. I am trying to find a way of getting points from Autocad 2010 directly into an excel spreadsheet ofr notepad. Problem is the points aren't numbered etc and when i use the data extraction tool they don't extract in the order they were clicked. Any help much appreciated?
Are these AutoCAD point objects, or blocks with attributes? What information do you want, just northing, easting, elevation?

I have a series of points throughout a grid that i need the Easting and Northing transferred directly to an excel sheet.

Have you tried the DATAEXTRACTION command?

Hi John, yes i tried the dat extraction command but it did not extract the points in the order i clicked them therefore i could not easily identify the points.

Maybe Point Manager by Lee Mac may be more suitable to your purposes.http://lee-mac.com/ptmanager.html
