Hi!
Does anyone know how to use the publish function to combine multiple drawings and print them as a book? I am trying to print multiple drawings in a book for folks in my office, double-sided, 11"x17", preferably from dwg format to PDF, not blueprints.
I was turning each drawing into a PDF then building a document in acrobat...but it's so inefficient!! There has to be a better way...any suggestions?

Publish from Autodesk is a tedious work. You can try AutoDWG PDF to DWG converter and convert to a PDF book, it is just easy and efficient. Just a suggestion, hope this helps. ------------- Amerie White |

What is your AutoCAD version? If it is not a 2010, then you do not have access to publish several DWG files into just one PDF. I do not know if Xenadu has some related free tools. So when you are using AutoCAD 2010, you can type 'publish' in command line, click the 'add sheets' button to add your drawings and select publish to 'PDF' form the publish box. After this, 'publish' and just wait the output, it will cost lots of time but still wait. If you do not have 2010 installed, the only way to generate this kind of PDF is to find some software that can convert DWG's into just one PDF. Yes, I'm the one who have tried both the 2010 and the other softwares. I'm now still using the AutoDWG DWG to PDF converter but not AutoCAd 2010, because I just said 2010 takes too much time let me wait for the printout. You can find the AutoDWG that I mentioned at: http://www.autodwg.com/PDF/ - http://www.autodwg.com/PDF/ . There is an option that lets you convert into single PDF. ------------- Amerie White |

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I guess I am out of luck because I use 2006...yeesh. I can convert from DWG to PDF, it just takes so much time. I guess I will have to suffer through, for now.
