When you edit blocks with REFEDIT, you may be able to edit (e.g. delete) also other drawing entities (not in the edited block). This is usually unintended behavior.

If you want to be able to edit only objects which are part of the edited block (i.e. are in the "working set"), check the option "Lock Objects Not in Working Set" on the Settings tab in the Reference Edit dialog.
