During an edit operation AutoCAD displays an alert box:

AutoCAD Warning
This operation may take a long time.
To greatly improve performance, the system can disregard Draw Order.
Disregard Draw Order for this operation?

This warning (dialog) may break your script, macro or a batch operation performed on a large drawing. It can be displayed during the commands BREAK, FILLET, HATCH, HATCHEDIT, EXPLODE, TRIM, JOIN, PEDIT and OFFSET.

If you want to avoid this risk, set the DRAWORDERCTL variable to 0.
