Q - question

Launching AutoCAD without any drawing.

A - answer By setting the STARTUP variable to the new value 2 you can start AutoCAD 2012 into a "zero document" state, without opening the default file "Drawing1.dwg".

When you start (run) AutoCAD, its application window looks like this:

No DWG

From the menu you can start a new drawing, or open an existing drawing, or use the sheet set manager.

See STARTMODE for suppressing the Startup (Home) screen.
