Since AutoCAD 2011, polylines containing overlapping segments are indicated with a "+" sign on grip editing.

If a polyline object contains an identical duplicate segment, a small "plus" sign is displayed by this segment(s) when grip selecting this polyline. Depending on your graphics card, this plus sign can appear only after a zoom or pan operation.
