Q - question

Can we run AutoCAD in terminal mode?

A - answer Yes, in the 2002 version.
A special 'self-hosted' build of AutoCAD 2002 (+Map,+CAD Overlay) has been made available - it supports (from both the license and technical view) the terminal mode, where the application runs on the server (Citrix, Windows 2000 server) and user workstation is only a terminal.
This special build has a separate installation mechanism and optimisations for the Citrix environment. It was available for Major Accounts with a minimum of 50 seats.

Since 2018, you can use virtualized environments for single-user subscription licenses of supported products.
