Plain AutoCAD doesn't offer this conversion. You can use the SplineConvert add-on utility by CAD Studio (www.cadstudio.cz/en/apps/splineconvert/) which converts (explodes) splines, ellipses, arcs and circles (plus derived objects) to 2D polylines (LWPOLYLINE) with specified tolerance of straight segments.

In older versions of AutoCAD (and with no options and risk of loosing some drawing features) you can also save the drawing in the R12 format and then read it back.
